Can you lose your salvation?

Hello! This is Hannah!
I wrote this mini article on "Can you lose your salvation?"

No, you can not lose your salvation. Here are some verses to prove this:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 10:28-29 KJV

After you are saved you can NOT lose your salvation. You may falter or go off the road, but after you are saved you can not lose your salvation.

Some people can have false testimonies and SAY they got saved, but are not. You can not lose what you don't have.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39

Nothing can separate you from salvation.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 5:13

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 1:13

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:14

This does not give us liberty to do anything we want, it tells us we are saved for eternity and we must follow God and be a testimony for HIM!

Thank you for reading!

God Bless!
~Hannah~

  3. Hello!
First, I wanted to ask where your family lives? Also do you attend a family home church? My daughter found your blog and you seem very sweet!
Secondly, I would like to share with you that you can in fact lose/throw away your salvation if you decide to keep living in sin or forsake Christ all together. That is what is taught in the New Testament by Paul himself. Also all of the early church writers who assembled our Bibles taught that you can in fact walk away from your inheritance of eternal life. There are many verses that show you that. I am not going to post them here unless you ask and then I would be happy to. You are right that no man can pluck us from His hands but we can jump! Your life experiences and Jesus giving you more light in His word will reveal that to you if you keep an open heart.
Now does that mean that since I believe this I live in fear thinking am I going to lose my salvation? NO! I live in faith following Jesus and His way! I know that I am walking in light, forsaking sin, and trusting in Him! In any case, I was once where you are and am not condemning you in the least. Keep seeking the Lord with all of your heart! We won't have a doctrine test before we can enter into heaven! :)
God Bless you and your family!
    Much love in Christ,
    Jenny

    1. Hello Miss Jenny!

Thank you for reading our blog!
We live in Northwest Arkansas about an hour and a half from the Missouri border =D
Right now our father is managing a temporary construction job in North Carolina,
but we are moving back to Arkansas in the end of Feb.

Our Dad came out to start a church in Arkansas several years ago, but within the year
most of the families attending had to move out of state for their jobs.
Dad got a job as a construction worker and we continued the church at home and
we fellowshiped with another older couple.
Now that we are in North Carolina we are attending a Independent Baptist Church that we
do not agree with 100 %, but it is working temporarily.

We would have to respectfully disagree.
Getting saved does not give you liberty to do whatever you want, and after God saved
you, you can not get unsaved.
We can falter or go off the trail. Some people say there are saved, but they seem to
lose their salvation. They were never saved. You can not be saved unless God calls you
      to be saved.
An Alter Call is a good example, people are quilted into coming to the alter and the tears
flow and their family members pressure them, so they say they are saved, but did they
      get saved?
Please don't get us wrong though. Alter Calls are not all together bad, people DO get
saved people DO cry and they DO confess, but it is hard to tell until you see them living
      for God.
It was not of our good works that we were saved or our good works can't keep us
saved. God keeps us saved, and because of God in our hearts we are saved and act like
it. We may go off the trial and feel depressed, but after we are saved we have
eternal salvation. We can't jump out of God's hand.

We probably can't change your mind, but you have had us dig deeper into the scriptures
and we thank you for that. We will definitely discuss this in our family time.

Your family looks really sweet and y'all remind us of our family!
      Where do y'all live?
      Thank you for commenting!

  4. Wow, we are super close to you! We are about 20 minutes from the Northwest corner of Arkansas!!! We will just have to have your family over on a Saturday and get to know you all better!

I would like to offer a book and cd to your family if you would be interested in it. It really helped shed light on a lot of things for us. If you would be interested please just email me at Traskfamily@aol.com and give me your address.

We have calvinistic friends who believe as you do. We see it as even though we do not agree we each have a desire to serve the Lord and we see how we've grown over the years. We'll all continue to grow. To encourage each other on in Christ and the narrow way and love each other is what is important. So even though we may not be perfectly "like-minded" I think we are "like-hearted". To love the Lord with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves sums it up. We don't even have to have a clue about doctrines to do that! :~)

Praying your move back to Arkansas is an easy one! Keep pressing on in Jesus!
    Much love in Christ,
    Jenny

  6. Wow I happened upon this post and whole heartily agree! I have met many people who believe they can lose their salvation and how discouraging that would be! If you believe that, then you must believe that you have to do good works to keep you're salvation, then comes the "believing in getting into heaven by good works" thing. Yes we should try to do good things, but we are sinners and we make mistakes, that still is no excuse for doing bad, but still you don't get into heaven by good works. Thanks so much for writing this post, totally agree!

And wow we live five minutes from the boarder of Kansas and Missouri. We used to live almost exactly ON the boarder, but we moved :) We visited Arkansas a few times when we traveled as missionaries! We could have very well passed you're church! Just a thought :)

  7. Great article! Topics such as this are always good to read and think about. I remember when I use to have doubts about my salvation, and it was not till last year when I realized that God has opened my eyes to him. It's comforting to know that I will be in His hands forever. :)
