Hello all!

This is Hannah, Ruth, and Sarah Keller!



1.)  We take a strong stance on wearing long skirts all the time ( close to our ankles) and modest shirts, nothing tight, not low cut etc.

2.) Having long hair and not cutting our hair except bangs and trimmings.

3.) Wearing head covering in church.

4.) Keeping the Sabbath Day holy (Not going to restaurants or stores unless the ox IS in the ditch ) Not watching any non-biblical movies on Sunday or playing non-biblical games.

5.) Listening to NO contemporary music or rock music.

6.)The Bible being only KJV.

 No, we are not Pentecostal or Mormon! We will not look down on anybody that doesn't think the same way we do.



 





About Hannah:
Hi! I'm the oldest sister on this blog. 
I am engaged to my best friend and love of my life, Sean-Paul!! :) We are planning our wedding for 2015!!

I am a big animal lover, especially dogs. When I start my own family I plan to have at least three dogs and at least five cats. I LOVE cows. Working with cows is so fun and rewarding! My favorite breed of cows is Beefalo. I love going berry picking, running and playing with my siblings. Some of my favorite books include the Bible, of course, the Warriors series, Elsie Dinsmore, The Girl of the Limberlost, and The Great Illustrated Classics. I hate crocheting but love to knit. I love our church. I enjoy singing hymns of praise to God. A few of my favorite movies are Lord of the Rings, Narnia, the Sound of Music, and Despicable Me. I find traveling stressful and distasteful. I love taking pictures when I am in the proper mood. I like to read jokes and be around people who make me laugh.

 I am a type one diabetic. I love listening to Hymns, piano, flute, and violin duets, and movie soundtracks! I also enjoy singing.  I LOVE crocheting, sewing, scrap booking, and treasure keeping. I enjoy fishing, target practice and love daggers, knives, and guns. I also enjoy baking, and making dinner. I enjoy working with plants, planting gardens, and working with herbs. My favorite books are The Bible, Elsie Dinsmore, The Warrior series, Deltora Quest, Anne of Green Gables and Royal Diaries.   1. I really like your about you page!!! I have a strong stance on modesty as well. I do wear shorter skirts though. I don't wear anything above the knee, just below the knee and longer. I also do wear shorts and pants but only if they are not tight and stuff!
    What do you girls consider as "contemporary" music? I don't listen to Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez or people like that.... I do listen to other girls like Britt Nicole, Jamie Grace, BarlowGirl, and christian artists like that. They do pop music but they are VERY uplifting lyrics and I really enjoy them!

    I am really enjoying corosponding with you girls!

    Yes, we would count artists like that as contemperary music. We would
    only listen to hymns, and psalms.

    "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the
    Lord." Ephesians 5:19

    "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and
    hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16

    "Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the Lord with the
    words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness and they bowed their heads and
    worshipped." II Chronicles 29:30 ( Here you can see they worshipped him humbly with bowed heads.)

    When you think of Rock, or pop songs you would get this picture of a
    Rock concert with electric guitar and drums etc. What is the difference between Taylor Swift and Britt Nicole, etc.??
    The only difference between them is, Taylor Swift sings about country and Britt Nicole sings about God.
    It's the same beat and sound! Where do you draw the line?

    "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the Love of the Father

    Lately the churches have been taking God and Rock and mixing them togther to have entertainment for the
    teenagers!

    The approaches of religious rockers all seem to suggest that, "We must become the world to win the world."
    That method will not work simply because it is outside of God's plan for the proper balancing of
    Biblically-ordained modes of evangelism with Biblical principles of separation. If one believes at all in the
    Bible doctrine of "separation" from the world, is it not logical to include the Christian's music?


    We agree that people need to be saved, but is this the way to do it?

    1. How do you guys feel about Kari Jobe? I like her, she's honestly one of the only Christian artist I listen to more often. I grew up in a house where my mother played hymns and really old gospel tunes form very old gospel singers on the radio, so I have grown to like those songs, more genuine in my opinion. I agree on where you stand about the music, somewhat. I honestly don't like gospel hip-hop for sure, because for me it reminds me much of secular hip hop only difference is one sings for God.

      I believe in the separation from the world, and I am still doing so more and more daily. I pray for God's help in this area, because I was very deeply entangled under the elements of the world a few years ago before I repented of my sins, so now I know I need the good Lords help as I grow and mature and take up my cross daily. I'm not aware of your ages but I think perhaps I'm a bit older than you all, just assuming, but you guys are really wise in a lot of thing's I heard you say above. :-)

      I wish I was as closer to my older and younger sister like you guys. My younger sister lives in Florida and my older sister well that's a really long story for another time, lol. :-)

      I really like your "about you section", I like how each of you write about yourselves. I read a book once called, "The Poisonwood Bible" when I was a teenager. It's about a missionary family, a Pastor, His wife, and 3 daughters who went to the Congo in Africa. I think it was during mid or late 1900's I can't recall lol. I mention the book because in the book each daughter and the mother write just the way you did in your "about you section" above. Each sister writing her view point in each chapter. I like that. :-)I like how your home schooled, I honestly wish I was, but God plans we're different for me I suppose, but I have said in my heart if I ever have children I want them home schooled.

      We would consider Kari Jobe's music contemporary music. In several of her songs there is
      a beat and her voice is the same as most singers out there. Yes! One sings about God the other
      sings about country or whatever! That is a good point!


      That is great that we can meet someone who believes close to what we believe!
      Our Mom also was a very rebellious teen who didn't know the Lord! Soon after she turned twenty
      she started going to church and the Lord really convicted her! After Mom got saved
      all her desire for alcohol and drugs completely was gone! Soon after that Mom met Dad!


      Yes, we are in our early teens =D
      We give God all the glory! We have been raised to love the Lord by godly parents! It is
      such a blessing!


      Oh! How sad that your sisters are not near you! If you were standing in front of us, we would give you a big hug!

      That is so neat about that book! It sounds neat!

    3. You guys put a smile on my face and if I was there I would hug all of you back, one big bear hug lol.

      When I was younger my mother didn't let me have a tv of my own so I read a lot in my room. I loved reading mysteries mostly, and books about different social issues that were going on in Africa, even though I have no idea why, I was a very weird little girl. I love Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boy's , the Hardy Boys mostly though. I also like authors like C.S Lewis and Rudyard Kipling, one of my most favorite books was The Little Princess.

      I don't like a whole lot of the things people my age likes, I'm 26 by the way, my birthday is next month on the 1st. People my age are mostly into reality shows about housewives and the jersey shore and things like that. I like turner classic movies. I also like some classical music, Schubert is my favorite, his song "standchen" is my most favorite of all, perhaps you might listen to it, it's most beautiful when played on violin accompanied by the piano.

      You like the civil war era, very interesting. I mostly like the Edwardian, Elizabethan and Victorian era, all English, I like the English. I like Charles Dickens, he's is one of my faves, as well as Jane Austen. I also watched and liked "Pride and Prejudice" with Keira Knightly, if you liked that perhaps you might like "The Young Victoria".

      Maybe you guys could check that book out I mentioned in my other message. I know the title of the book sounds strange, "Poisonwood Bible" but the book is quite interesting, it's about a missionary family from the south, that goes to the Congo in Africa to spread the gospel, the fathers a pastor. It's very well written,the story is really told by the girls who are about the same ages as you all, and honestly whenever you guys reply to me I think I'm talking to them lol. Like them your all different, you like different things and have things in common as well.

      I think I read somewhere where you said that your father reads books before you do to see if it's alright, maybe He might like the book too, perhaps you can suggest it.

    4. Oh and I read where you guys are interested in politics, and things like that, it's not one of my most favorite past times lol, but I do like Ann Coulter although I would say she could be a little more gentle when she speaks, what do you guys think about her?

      I think Barack Obama is straight from the devil, even though he said he's a Christian. I think Ann Coulter said it best when she said, "Barack is an Atheist". I usually stay away from talking about politics because it's usually controversial and people get kind crazy about it. But the gospel is also controversial to many people but I won't stop spreading that, so a little politics talk is no big deal lol. :-)

      I'm not American but I have my opinions on American Politics simply because America is a very popular country and everybody on planet earth knows about America and the politics there. We're taught about America in school to some degree, I think that contributes to why so many are interested in America.

      I'm from the Bahamas though, our politics here isn't nearly as interesting as American Politics lol. I also have learnt about the government in other countries but America is the most interesting.

      Did I say how it's great that your home schooled, I wish I was. High School does a very good job at corrupting good morals taught in the home, my mother taught me one thing, and High School taught me everything else. That's why I said to myself if ever I have children I'm not sending them to regular school to get taught how to, swear, fornicate, listen to vulgar things, watch inappropriate things and have inappropriate conversations, I rather keep them home and teach them until their old enough to discern certain things for themselves.

      So cool talking to you guys, I never wrote to 3 people at one time before, this is the easiest multi-tasking ever lol.

      Yes! We have read most of those books! Our younger brother just LOVES the Hardy Boys! =D

      We love classic music and movies! =D No, we have never heard of him! We will look that up!

      Yes! All those eras are great! Oh we have are going to look up "The Young Victoria" =D
      We looked up the Poisonwood Bible on our online Library catalog and they have it!
      We will be at the Library next week and we are so getting that book. =D

      Yes, our father does if the book sounds questionable. We will ask him, he will probably say we can read it. =D

      Obama is an Atheist/Muslim!!

      Yes, our family is really political. =D Ann Coulter, we would say, is not as strong on conservative beliefs and we
      would like. We have her books and we listen to her sometimes. =D
      We would listen to: Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hannity, and Mark Levin. =D

    6. Hey Girls, I'm just getting around to replying, I haven't been on here in days. You guys are awesome, I think you will like "The Young Victoria" period movies are some of my favorites. I'm glad you guys are going to check that book out, I hope you like it. A friend of mine told me to get Ann Coulter's books, I think I will. I like her, she really makes me laugh and there aren't really many people out there like her.

      And I think the reason a lot of people don't realize Obama is bad is because they're deceived, his charm and his popularity got them all bewitched. I can't vote or anything since I'm not an American, but my sister is. I know about all those guys you all mentioned except Mark Levin, Ann Coulter and Shawn Hannity are friends I think.

  3. I could see how you could draw that conclusion and I respect that! I for on have just not been convicted within myself that the music is not good for me... And I have seen some clips of say Britt Nicole's concerts and they do not look anything like Taylor Swifts and whatnot! :) I suppose even though the beat might sound similar in some songs or so I think since they are bringing worship to God and focusing on God I don't mind...

    My thoughts on witnessing to people through the music is that I don't think that they would listen to hymns or psalms to hear about God so if there is something that sounds similar to what they are used to listening to they are more likely to listen and be witnessed to through the lyrics!

    I'm not saying you are wrong or anything and I hope you don't take it like that I just am not sure of if it is wrong or not yet... I know many great christian girls and their families don't think this music is wrong, but I also know other's who like you don't listen to that music either....

    You have given me food for thought and I am enjoying this view of the "other" side of my choice of music!

    Sorry this took so long! We are moving this week and we barely get a moment to blog! It may be a couple days before we respond, because the next several days/week or two will be busy!


    It is sad that people mix rock and God and say "It's fine to add the world and God together" God is worthy of praise.
    We think rock and Contemperary music down grades God and basically says "It's okay God is nothing more than the world!"
    We should not use the world to show God's love and mercy! God says in his word he does not want us mixing with the world in any way shape or form. Are we disobeying God?
    God says "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
    God will move upon them, if he wants to save them. If we tell people about God it is up to the Holy Spirit to save them. God says to preach and to teach.
    Are we teaching people that there is no difference between God and the World?



    "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
    John 4:24
    God tells us to worship him HIS way! There is no other way to worship God but to worship the way He commands. Who are we to think that our method of saving is better than God's?

    "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." I Corinthians 1:21

    Before our Mom got saved and met the Lord, She was Highly offended at "Contemperary music". Mom just thought "Well, I have rock music what is the point of going to church? I can hear Rock at my house. "There is no difference between church and the world."
    The only way we can get people saved is contemperary music?

    One question :) Do you know where Rock, "Rock and Roll" came from?

    We are not saying that every single person that listens to Contemperary music is not going to heaven, but that we need to research and see if this is honoring to The Lord.

    This is fun being able to talk back and forth!

    1. You shouldn't be sorry for taking awhile, it should be me!!!! I'm sooooo sorry I took so long! It's been crazy busy and then I've been sick all this week and stuff but here I am! :)

      I can see your point with the music issue and I can see your point but I am just not convinced that it is bad for me. I hope we are still "friends" though!

      I think it's interesting that your mom was offended by "Contemporary Music" before she was a Christian though I know some people have been brought to the Lord through hearing about him through the same music! :)

      No I'm actually not aware of where "Rock & Roll came from, would you tell me?

      Even though we have our differences I am glad you girls don't put your views across as "We are right, you are wrong, your not going to heaven if you listen to this, so on and so forth. People have done that and frankly it really is quite a turn off to me and some others I know. I just don't think God will turn us away for listing to "Contemporary Music" especially if the Bible doesn't exactly say DON'T listen to Christian Contemporary Music!!!!

      Thank you for being willing to go back and forth on our views on this and even though we don't agree I still really respect you girls and really like you! :)

      Yes, some people do get saved by Contemporary music but we think the mind set behind it is wrong.





      PLEASE look at this site and read it all the way through! THIS is what "Christian" Rock comes from! We know the lyrics are changed but the beat? Before people listen to "Contemporary music" they should read this first!

While I don't necessarily agree with your stand points, I'm not going to get all 'Phariscene' (that's my word for a 'female' Pharisee kind of person) about the differences in our beliefs.     Thank you for following our blog! We understand :) Yes! We(Hannah, Ruth and Sarah)have all worked with cows and LOVE them! We watched them get born, named them, trained them, and showed them (at different fairs)! We showed beefalo (a mix between a buffalo and a normal cow). Most people say "Beefalo are a dangerous animal" but they are actully gentle! What is your favorite breed of cow?(if you have one.)Do you have cows? We love meeting new friends on our blog! Although we don't post much we do check our blog everyday/everyother day :) We like writing back and forth! We hope we get to know you better!

    No, we don't have cows, but believe me, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have at least one! (Maybe when I get married!)

      :) Our favorite is beefalo! Have you ever heard of them? We know! We only had three beefalo, but our neighbor (A REALLY nice man!) wanted us to help him train them! We helped him for a few years and then he gave us one of his heifers! She had several babies, but when we moved (temporarily) we had to sell them all. We have always wanted milk cows. What is your favorite hobby?

  9. Wow! I am really enjoying the conversation on this blog. I think I will follow! I am a christian as well, but I live on a ranch and it is really hard to just wear skirts.

      Yes, we know how hard it is to wear skirts all the time. We have four brothers and we were constantly following them along. We had a garden, and cows, chickens, geese, turkeys, ducks, cats, dogs, rabbits etc. We showed cows at our county fair, and were CONSTANTLY climbing trees or down at the creek. We built a tree house, and rode bikes We even earned our Christmas money by picking up and selling black walnuts. We are not trying to turn you off or say "well we are better then you!"(please don't take it that way!) We wore skirts the whole time, we felt so strongly about it that we just made it happen. We would wear dresses or wavy full skirt every where we went. If we are climbing trees we wear shorts or leggings under our skirts (Sometimes it is hot though :) (We have moved since then and had to sell our animals, but we still climb trees, ride bikes, and go hiking!) That is our story about wearing skirts! :) Thanks again for following our blog! We hope we can get to know you more! :)

    2. Yeah, I understand, but it's hard to wear a skirt while riding a horse. *I have done it!* And I'm not very good at sewing, so I don't have very many, so I save most of my skirts for Sunday.

      Yes, it is hard. :) It is sad that modest skirts our so hard to find! We can sew, but we are not very good at sewing skirts either. :) We set aside our really full skirts for riding horses.

    So what kind of stories do you guys like? I was just wondering. :) I love all sorts of stories!! What type is your guys' favorite??

    I saw all your cats!! Really sweet!! =D I have a cat, too, and she's black with green eyes and is named Serena. She's a loner, though. ;) (i.e. sadly we don't have any other cats)

    So do you guys like to do any sports? If you could do any sports with the public school, what would you guys do? I like playing volleyball with my friends, but that's about it!! =D (do you guys play volleyball??)

      Oh yeah! We LOVE Tangled! "Something brought you here Flynn Rider call it what you want, Fate, Destiney...... A horse! :D Well, we like mystery, and books about people back then! (Whatever you call that :) ) (Fiction and non-fiction), but we read almost any type of book! :) We have another Cat we haven't posted a picture of yet (so we have to do that) Thanks! We LOVE cats! AWWW Your cat sounds SO pretty! (Our cat Kitty is a loner too!) We don't do any sport really, except baseball with our sibings! :) We have played volleyball once or twice, but we aren't really into it :) We like smiley faces too! :)

      haha LOVE that movie!! There are so many funny lines. I watch it over and over and still find things to laugh at (well, the same things). =D "A horse!" Oh, yeah, one of my favorite parts! =D "Max, I feel we really got off on the wrong foot, but I... Yeah, you're right, we should go." "I have a dream, I have a dream....!" I could go on for forever. :) I love all kinds of books!! I usually like it, though, if the main character is a girl (and of course I don't like romance between the main character ugh.....unless they're like old enough of course). =D Cool! Wow! You guys have lots of cats!! Thanks. I'll tell my cat you said that. haha =D All of your cats are so pretty, too!! I like playing catch with my mom. I'm not sure I'm so good at batting.... ;) I LOVE playing volleyball. I'm kind of tall, so that also helps... ;)

      I like The Princess Bride a lot! I admit that there's a lot of things that aren't good. (ex. "...dream of large woman..." yeah and a few others that I won't quote here, but anyway.....) But it's really funny. All in all I like it. :)

I just feel plain bad for Frodo!! Oh, and I guess Legolas's pretty cool. Forgot him.

      I agree that The Royal Diary books are really interesting! When I was at my library I stocked up on Dear America books. Only one more to go! It's called Color Me Dark, and it's the diary of Nellie Lee Love, who's a lighter skinned African American who'd rather be darker like her sister Erma Jean. For books, blogger profile. ;)

      My favorite activity is.... writing stories!! (surprise, surprise) =D

      My favorite combination is probably brown hair and green eyes. Though I like dark brown hair, pale skin, and blue eyes, too. :) (like Arwen) Some brown eyes are reallyyyyyyyyy pretty, too, and gray eyes are gorgeous!! Hazel eyes are also awesome. So are all eye colors and hair colors. :)

      I like having loyalty, a funny quality, friendship (OK, so it does count haha), love, faith, forgiveness, hope, friendliness, and sometimes it's lots of fun to have a talkative friend. =D

      Very cool. Very cool. :) I love Aragorn because..... HE'S JUST SO AWESOME!!! ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! =D hahahahaha :) Yeah, Legolas just seems to be like on his cool the whole time and Gimili IS HILARIOUS. Merry's like really awesome and though Pippin makes lots of big mistakes I admit it, he's still trying to be good!!! =D

      Yeah. I just wish she was older than eleven. :/ Oh, well. I just read when where they liked stopped the story right as something happened. I was like, "What??" It was called So Far From Home, the diary of Irish mill girl Mary Driscol (I think that was her last name.....). Apparently (I learned this from the epilogue) she died just a few years after the book from an illness.

      I think my sibling read some of the Eragon books, but my sibling thought that there was something bad in them.....?? So I've never read them. I started the first one, but back then I was like, "Oh, come on, another book about a boy?" (sometimes I'm still like that, but not as much). :)

      Yes, I didn't know there was any other Magnificent Seven movie... but anyway.... :) Have you guys watched The Great Escape??

      It is so interesting. It's about this prison camp in Germany during WWII (World War II) and like everybody in the camp are like expert escape people. So they plan this huge escape and so, yeah, that's where all of the escape and everything happens. :) (I think the "failed escape" would've probably made it more true, but the title's good as it is) :)

      The beach was GREAT! It is the third time we have been to a beach, but we barely remember the other two times. Well, probably for all three of us was to wait for a HUGE wave and go under water and let the wave push us to shore! It was so neat! Have you ever been to the beach?

      Sounds like lots of fun!! Last time I was at the the beach I was like way little and definitely stayed away from the water (*shark fears*). I think it would be lots of fun to go to the ocean again, though. :)

      A writing contest is where you submit a story and other people do, too, and the host of it judges it and whoever wins gets a "prize" (other people would do stuff like giveaways, but security things and everything......) like something maybe you make and fix up on PicMonkey. I actually have a writing contest going on on Dragonmaster....... you guys should go check it out..... ;D

      Wow!!!! Great choices!!!! =D I'd probably do something like "get hooked up with publisher and get books published" or maybe "all of my favorite movies" or "unlimited supply of awesome dress-up clothes that look like the clothes in The Lord of the Rings or Narnia" or something like that. =D

Okay, the egg will only hatch if it is in the hands of its rider (The person that will ride the dragon). Dragons will wait thousands of years until the the right person gets it. Arya, tried to escape but was stopped by a Shade. Arya used all her power to transport the egg to some random location, draining her of her power, for a time. The King and the Shade captured her and tortures her to tell them where she sent the egg (she doesn't tell). The egg just happens to get transported right in front of Eragon who is hunting alone. Eragon takes it and tries to sell it to the butcher for meat, the butcher thinks he stole it, so refuses. Eragon takes the egg home and hides it and that night the egg hatched..

      It is interesting! By the way this is the movie version. The book is about the same, but more details. =D

      We do school all year around. It gives us time to take a day off here or there, for going to town, or visiting friends e.t.c. =D Plus we have moved in the last year. We get holidays and weekend off of course. =D

      I agree that you have to take a stand. Of course I would vote. And I would definitely pick Romney over Obama. But you know what's sad? Romney also says that he "supports" abortion. It was all over yahoo a few weeks ago. Isn't that sad?? I would pick Romney over Obama, but I'd wayyyyyy rather just have Jesus return. =D

      I would totally agree that children are blessings. I think abortion is horrible, and I think it should be stopped. Why do you have to kill your kids? If you're not going to keep them, at least put them up for adoption and give them a chance to live. There's hundreds of people who can't have kids and would love to have the thing that you're just wanted to throw out like trash.

      As you can probably tell, I feel very strongly about this.

      Have you guys heard of the movie Come What May? It's a really good movie. Not only do they deal with girl/boy stuff, but the main thing is about abortion. It's a story of this boy who takes this kind of debate class at Patrick Henry College. It's really good. If you guys haven't watched it, you should!! :) It's really angering what the other people's arguments are about abortion. They say that the kids were never alive. But then why did they have to kill them? You can't kill something that's not alive!!

      So how have you guys been doing? =D (I'm done with my ranting, as you can probably tell...... ;D)(though I think it's good to talk about that kind of stuff. I think it's so sad whenever I go on a blog and it says like "this many babies have died since you've been on here" and I just want to scream "YOU'RE MURDERING PEOPLE STOP IT!!" urggh)

      Anyway, guess what? I have two new series on Dragonmaster!! :) I'd really love it if you guys would check them out. They're The Time Travelers and Fairy Eyes. (Just a note on fairy eyes--she does NOT like Devin, whatever people may think, and when you finish the story you'll realize why) :)

    I hope you don't mind me jumping in with some comments! I've followed your blog for a couple of months now, but never checked your about page until now. I've really enjoyed reading all of the comments on this page! (hopefully, that's okay; I should hate to come across as a stalker ;)

    I say "bravo" to your music standards. My family has taken a very similar stance on music, even though maintaining those standards can sometimes be difficult. We all love music, and we sing as a family, so that love has taken us into the actual study of music, how it's done and why it's done. It's scary where some of the contemporary styles came from!

    I noticed that you said you wear headcoverings in church. Would you mind me asking for your Scriptural basis for doing that? I've known people who did that, too, but I never got a chance to ask them, and I was curious about it.

    Yay! Another LOTR fan! My siblings and I are all big Lord of the Rings fans. Narnia is pretty epic, too! And yes, I also love Elise Dinsmore. Have you read Martha Finley's other series about Mildred Keith?

      I haven't read any of the Mildred books yet (I really want to!), but I've read all of the Elsie ones and I've also read the newer adaptions that Kersten Hamiltion did. They're called A Life of Faith series, and include stories about Elsie's daughter, Violet. Although they're shorter, I really like them.

      Ooh! Sound of Music is one of my family's favorite movies! I love families that sing together! Have you ever seen The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band? It's a movie based on a true story about a family who sang and played together that moved to Dakota. My sister Jessa Bri and I just read the book that the youngest daughter wrote of their adventures, and we really enjoyed it!

      Thanks for the like on Facebook! I saw that a Keller had liked our page, and my first thought was, "Keller? Like the Keller girls on blogger?!" It was rather exciting. :)

      The name of the book is "The Family Band: From the Missouri to the Black Hills 1881-1900" by Laura Van Nuys. I think it's part of some kind of pioneer heritage series. It was very interesting.

      God set the standard for dress in Genesis when He made tunics for Adam and Eve, tunics that covered them from neck to below the knee, so that's what my family has adopted as our standard for dress. Clothes are meant to cover, not define, and holiness should be your motivation for dress. Hope that answers your question! :D

      I wish we could meet!! It's always so much fun to meet other people on blogger, but meeting them in real life... ah! Epic!

    Sorry it took me so long to respond, but I've been away for the last week! My sisters and I went across the state to visit our CBCs and then followed that up with a trip down south to visit cousins in college. It was a long trip, but it was so much fun!

    It really depends on the type of jeans and the motivation for wearing them. I wear jeans sometimes when I'm working outside or doing some other activity where jeans would be the appropriate dress as they are a heavier material that does not rip easily. However, as with every pair of pants we wear, they must, MUST be loose. Jeans that bring attention to my figure (with either extreme tightness or ill-placed decorations) are unacceptable, because I should be bringing glory to God with my clothes.

    So, as long as we're getting into "deeper topics" may I ask where your family stands on the holiday of Christmas?

    I've really enjoyed getting to know you better through these comments! It's a lot of fun to find other like-minded girls! :)

      Again, I apologize for the delay in my responses. My family just got hit really hard with some kind of cold or virus, so we've all been under the weather for the last few days. Thankfully, I think we're finally all on the mend. :)

      I love Christmas! I only asked because I was curious. Christmas is probably one of my favorite times of the year. I love Christmas music, I love Christmas treats, I love Christmas lights, I love... well, you get the idea. I'm not a big fan of Santa, though, saving in special Christmas movies such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon version).

      I could go on about Christmas for a while, but I'll stop before I begin a novel in your comment box. :)

      I love trying to come up with out of the ordinary questions that most people don't often think of, so....

      What movie is one that not many people know of, but you enjoy a lot? Some of my favorites are the really old black and white Nancy Drew movies with Bonita Granville. They're epic! :)

      I would definitely recommend the Bonita Granville Nancy Drew movies! I usually got bored reading the Nancy Drew books because Nancy was always so perfect. Bonita as Nancy was anything but perfect; constantly making mistakes. It's quite hilarious!

      Ooh, I've seen the Great Locomotive Chase! I can't say that it's a favorite movie. It was the second movie I've seen with Fess Parker in it (Davy Crockett being the first), and it was interesting to note that he died in both movies.

      I've always pronounced it as "off-fen." My sister Jessa Bri studied it recently in her grammar class and discovered that the correct way to say it is "off-fen." So now in jest, she thinks anyone who says "off-ten" is uneducated. ;)

      And yes, that means my family is big on grammar and speaking English correctly. Words are so much fun! :)

      Language.... well, maybe. I obviously speak English, and I've taken two years each of French and Spanish, but I don't know how much I got out of all four years combined. (sheepish grin) I know some words and phrases, but I could not hold a conversation with someone fluent in the language.

      Hmm... what's your favorite kind of jewelry to wear? Flashy? Simple? Just necklaces? Necklaces and bracelets?

      Don't worry about long lapses between responses. I fear I must ask your pardon for neglecting to answer in a timely manner. But what is life for, if not to keep you insanely busy? ;)

      Oh! I forgot about pig latin! Yes, of course, it's a language!! I don't always speak it fluently, but that is great fun! Except when you try to use it as a code language to an older sister about a younger sibling... they always find out what you're trying to say. Hmm...

      I don't know much sign language other than the alphabet and a few words. My cousins, Em and Tora, are learning sign language, and they know a whole lot more than I do! Just the other day, Tora signed the first verse of "Silent Night" to me, and I was pleased that I followed almost all of her signs! I've found that most of the time, it's not too hard to decipher, but I still love to drive my cousins nuts by totally messing up the translations. :)

      Yes! I wear a watch all the time! I think I would go insane if I didn't know what time it was! I prefer the simple necklaces, too. I would wear more bracelets, but I'm a pianist and I can't stand when the bracelet clinks against the piano. Anywho...

      I saw that in your last comment to Storyteller, you said that you support Romney for president. Behind you all the way! I don't agree with him in everything, but he's a lot more righteous than the other choice. At least he has morals.

      And on that subject, have you heard of/seen the film 2016? It's a very insightful documentary on the life and dreams of Barack Obama. Wow.

      I'm really enjoying our comments here and getting to know you a little bit this way! Yes, yes, it would be so much fun to meet!! :)

      I don't currently have piano lessons, but I used to. My grandmother began teaching all of us grandchildren to play when we were younger, and then when we moved away for 5 years out of state, I took lessons with two of our church's pianists. We're now back, but our grandmother has been having eye problems, so she hasn't been able to teach us. I've probably been playing the piano since I was 6 or 7, but I haven't had any real lessons in 2 years. At the moment, I'm in the teach-myself-and-try-to-progress-on-my-own stage, and yes, I do play music by ear a lot. I love trying to figure out songs and chords on the piano.

      2016 (or it might be called Obama's America... now I forget... maybe it's both names) is very good! There was some music that got on my nerves at times, but the message was very clear. It really tells you a lot about our current president. I am praying that he will be voted out of office, but it is a comfort to know that the Lord is in charge of what happens.

      Ice in my drinks? Not a huge fan, really. I'll put ice in my water sometimes, but I don't care for ice in my soda or juice because as it melts, the beverage gets diluted and it tastes watery. But that's just me. Actually, most of my family enjoys ice in their drinks. :)

      Hmm... let's see if I can think up another question. What's your favorite type of footwear? Sneakers, heels, sandals, flip flops? Or do you prefer to go barefoot?

      Sorry it's taking me a long time to respond. I'm doing NaNoWriMo this month and endeavoring to write my 50,000 words before November 30th, so a lot of my time has been spent working on my story.

      I'm with you. Over everything, I prefer bare feet. When I do wear shoes, I enjoy mostly sandals. Flip flops are fun, but I'm not a huge fan of the way they slap the bottom of your foot as you walk. I like having my shoes securely attached to my feet and ankle. I'm always afraid that I might lose a shoe, otherwise. ;)

      Actually, I read of a study recently about feet, and I think the healthiest thing for your feet is to go barefoot, based on the way God designed our feet. If you do wear shoes, though, they say that flip flops are the best way to go. Weird, huh? I think I read that in one of the Answers In Genesis magazines. Have you heard of them? I enjoy reading through the magazines sometimes. There's a lot of neat stuff in there!

      Yeah, 50K words in a month is a lot, but somehow people manage to do it, so I'm trying to manage it as well. It's actually not as hard as it sounds. And it's fun, as long as you really enjoy the story you're writing. :)

      No Greater Joy... I recognize that name. My mom once read aloud to us one of the books by the daughter of her missionary journey and we really enjoyed it! I can't recall her name, sadly, and I don't remember where it was that she went... I'll have to look it up sometime.

      I have way too many favorite soups. My family loves soup! Hamburger vegetable soup is one of the best, as well as potato soup, and cheeseburger soup, and chicken noodle soup, all homemade, of course. I really can't stand the canned soups.

      What's Swamp Cabbage? I don't think I've heard of that one! :)

I don't understand why foods now have to contain artificial everything to make it taste or look better. Homemade is way better, in my opinion! :)

      It's hard to say whether we get a lot of snow in Michigan. There have been years where it'll snow from October to April, but last winter, we only had two snowstorms, and absolutely no snow for Christmas! You just can't tell with Michigan!

    I, like Zoe, go to a non-denominational church, so I can see how different our beliefs are. But the thing that I think we're probably farthest on is listening to contemporary music. You see, there's this band I adore called 'Owl City.' And while the lead singer, Adam, is a Christian, his music is not. But there's no crude language or anything like that, so, yeah.       Um, I think it's really because he's a Christian and there's no language and I just think his voice is really great. I went to their concert last month and I'm not going to lie, it was pretty loud. There were drums and guitars and such. But I think the music is really beautiful and it makes me really happy. :) I do listen to the radio and the new hits and all of that.

      I have a question for you guys: Why is it wrong to add drums and make the music loud? How does that make it dishonoring to God? I completely respect your opinion, I'm just curious. :)

      We have several different kinds of movies we like: Narnia, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, I Love Lucy, Little House on the Prairie, Tangled, Facing the Giants,
      The Sound of Music, Etc.

      We do enjoy Christian based movies, but, we don't like movies of people in the Bible for several
      reasons. They take the story and mix and add, and most stories have Jesus in it
      and our family believes against pictures of Jesus and of people acting Jesus.
      We aren't saying that "whoever has a picture of Jesus is going to Hell" we are just saying that is our family's personal stand point.

    I don't like movies taken from the Bible either!! As you said they mix and add, and personally I don't think God meant for it to be done.

    To know me better I'll introduce myself I'm the oldest of three. I live in Europe at this time with my family and we homeschool! I love learning languages and right now it's required that I learn High German, Swiss German, and French. Since I already know how to speak Italian I'm not required to learn it. But where we live requires you to learn many languages. My fav. subject is math in school!! And we are born again Christians!!

    No, we don't have animals! I love kittens but since we might move soon we are not getting one. My brother takes care of our neighbors rabbits though! But they aren't ours :)
    I really enjoy playing the piano, but right now I'm not playing at all because we don't have a teacher. I would also like to learn how to play the harp, though i don't know if that's ever going to happen :) But I can hope :) Do you play any instruments?
    I also wear skirts or dresses below my knee all the time. Except occasionally when riding horses I put on pants. But it's very uncomfortable for me to wear pants! Do you girls wear any makeup??

    Oh wow, that's a gift...being able to play by ear!!!!!
    Sometimes I wear eyeliner and I paint my fingernails occasionally, but it's not bright colors, i usually paint them clear or with a little tint of pink. For myself I keep this in mind, if I feel uncomfortable going out of the house because I don't have makeup on, then somethings wrong!! Because God made me, and He thinks I'm beautiful...and that's really all that matters.
    But every once in a while I wear eyeliner, not near everyday though :)
    Do you wear jewelry or nail polish?
    Oh, do you know of Abeka school? That's what we do.
    I'm very happy to correspond with you too! Especially since here the amount of people that wear skirts and are Christians are very limited, It's soo nice to talk to someone that has some of the same views on things as I do.

      Hannah does Saxon math on the video (10th grade). Mom didn't think that she could teach
      Hannah Algebra. Hannah uses Abeka in all other subjects.

      Yes, I also did Abeka text books and Christian Light textbooks for a loong time. But Mom also thought she couldn't teach me algebra, so that's one of the reasons we turned toward the video school :) I am in 9th grade...I like it very much but it's challenging! What are you're favorite subjects?? I love math!!! And Bible, Lit., and Health are a few on the top 5 list :) Though I don't think I could ever be a nurse even though I like Health :)

      I've always wanted to be a missionary, especially since my Mom worked in India when she was younger...I always wanted to go to India...but now, I don't really care.     My family actually used to be members of a Fundamental Baptist church up until a few years ago, so a lot of the things you believe are what I was taught my whole life. I really dislike conflict, so I always kept my opinions to myself, even though I disagreed with a lot of it. I don't really want to go into details, but some sad things happened in that church.

      We would not agree with women having careers.


      A woman's place is at home.

      Of course in difficult situation the women may have to work, but we think that God designed us to be stay-at home mothers.


      "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

  31. Layla speaking. This page is so awesome. I usually use the KJV though I often use the NKJV. I almost always wear skirts even when I'm climbing trees, helping with chickens, biking, etc... the only time I wear pants is when I'm riding horses. Then it is literally a requirement. I'm glad to see you are LOTR fans. You might think I'm crazy but my favorite character is gollum. Yeah, I know. I'm not that strict about music and such, i listen to j.j.heller and audrey assad but I understand your reasoning:). Can't wait to hear back from you girls.:)

      Lots of girls say that when riding horses you must have skirts, but do you?

      You can easily be modest in a tiered skirt. When we go horseback riding we wear a tiered

      skirt. Both modest and comfortable.

      It is not something to lose fellowship over of course!

    2. Thanks for responding so quickly! Thank-you for telling me about the tiered skirts. I was hoping to make one soon:. It is just a looooootttttt more comfortable to wear pants when riding and you don't get as sore (though you still get really sore:)).
      About music... i believe that it is okay to listen to some other music than hymns(though i listen to those too) because i think God can and will speak to you through anything, no matter how absurd. For example, two years ago when we were working in our garden i was complaining that i didn't get to do any of the big and hard stuff( i was not even 8) and for the rest of the day it was sorta like there was a grey cloud hanging over my head. Then i was later listening to music and a song came on that was talking about how it's the little things that make a difference and matter. I also later read a chapter in my book about it. Not to mention the bible. And i believe that really helped me and i was able to really put my trust in God. That is what i be believe. What do you girls think?
      There are seven kids in my family including me and my parents and we are all homeschooled. I am considered very advanced. Here is an example. I am 10 years old. The math book i am doing is Saxon math 8/7 soon to move on to Algebra 1 because i know all this math. When I wassix i read three unabridged books by Charles Dickens. So, yeah, college books. When i was seven i read the LOTR trilogy. Are you girls advanced? Please include examples.

      We would believe that there is nothing God-honoring in contemporary music.
      They sing the song with a worldly beat and a worldly jazzy voice, when the Bible specifically
      says :

      "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
      what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
      Romans 12:2 KJV

      When you here beat music what do you think of?
      Who cares what the lyrics are when they sing like the world?

      What is wrong with "It is Well with My Soul" or " O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus." or
      "Take My Life." Those are all beautiful God-honoring hymns played with piano.
      They are very moving beautiful songs.

      Lots of people cling to contemporary music, but why? Is it uplifting to God or does
      it feed flesh?
      We are not saying that we are so much better than you (of course not!!), but you should
      research this!

      We are not especially advanced we are all ahead for our ages, and we all love to read! =D

      We have heard that Saxon is easy.
      We do Abeka curriculum, and people say it is the hardest to do! =D
      We of course know everything in our school books. It is basically review.

Also, even through what you said, my point is still relevant. God can use ANYTHING to speak to someone.       We have heard this recently that when you debate CCM with people that are for CCM, they always

      Where does it say that God tells us to dance, scream, and sing like the world when
      we worship him?

      It doesn't matter what you say or what we say, the Bible is the final authority.

      We would believe that a girl is more modest with skirt length at the ankles. Our Dad and Mom have always wanted us to have our skirts that long.
      We have nothing against girls that haeve their skirts that length either.

      We are so sorry this took so long! We had a few unexpected things show up.

      We can see where you are coming from!

      We do not think there is anything wrong with girls wearing shorter skirts. Our brothers were recently talking with us about the length of skirts. They said they so not see shorter skirts (as long as they cover your knees when walking and sitting) as a stumbling block.
      We have all been raised being taught to wear long skirts, and we would not condemn any girl that doesn't see our same point.

      It says in James 4:17:

      "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

      We were recently talking with a friend about conviction. She made an very good point by saying that, some people get confused between conviction and thinking it is conviction. It may just be a confusion between the two. This is just a a problem that really needs to be prayed about.

      You do not sound like you are ungrateful (don't worry).
      This is a very complicated subject.

      As long as the skirt covers the knee when you are sitting and walking it would be (to us) modest.

      We would take the personal stance that having your skirt down to the ground is maybe too much, but again, that is our personal stance.

      It is a good thing to be wondering. We would just have to recommend that you pray about it.

      We don't know those boys you were talking to, but maybe they have been told that it is distracting because that is what their parents or sisters have told them; even when they don't think so?(and again, we don't know those boys)

      Okay. We will try to explain it as well as we can. =D

      Skirts that are below the knee, (we would say) are modest.

      Our personal stance in wearing long skirts-
      According to:

      "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God." Deuteronomy 22:5

      We would say wearing longer skirts are more feminine and modest, but that is nothing wrong with shorter skirts. Wearing longer skirts make us (personally) feel like we are young ladies.

      Dad knew a girl in his youth group that used to wear long skirts, but started questioning the length. She started wearing shorter skirts and then she started wearing collates . Now that she is grown she wears pants. Dad does not want us to go down the same road, and we are glad that Dad and Mom have instilled in us a love for being feminine. It is really a personal belief and there are many different things that make it a personal belief.

      It is kinda confusing, and hard to explain.

      If we know that a certain guy would take that as a stumbling block, then we would wear longer skirts when we are around him. We would not see why anyone would find this as a stumbling block?

      These guys sound like they just want everyone to see their way?
      (We don't want to be mean, because we don't know them.)
      There is nothing unbiblical about wearing shorter skirts (as long as they are not immodest short skirts, and you are not wearing them to draw attention).

      This is a very confusing subject, and it is hard to understand.

      We go to a sovereign Grace Independent Baptist Church. We don't agree with everything the church believes, but it is the best we could find in our area.

      We believe that there is going to be a Tribulation and that we, as Christians, will go through it. It would take us forever to tell you everything on our belief so we will give you this.

    2. I know that this wasn't my conversation, but it was just too tempting to get involved. =D

      I didn't read the article, but I just had a few points for you to see if it would make you think.
      In Titus 2:13 it talks about the "glorious appearing". I wouldn't be looking forward to Christ coming back if I knew that I had to first go through the tribulation. Instead I'd be wishing I'd die first! This, obviously, was written from before the tribulation (since we haven't reached the tribulation yet) so you can't say it's saying that we look forward to the glorious appearing of Christ after the tribulation.
      And Romans 5:9 talks about being saved from the wrath of God and you see the tribulation mentioned as the "day of His wrath". (Revelation 6:17) In fact, all through Revelation you see that word "wrath".
      Did this make sense? (Since I know this I may be leaving things out that I expect you know, except since you're on the other side of the issue there may be verses you don't notice since they don't back up what you believe.)

      Okay, God never says that Christians are going to live a life without hard times!

      "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;" Romans 5:3

      We should look forward to Christ's coming even more since we know he will come after the tribulation. He is coming to rescue his people.

      Christians will be persecuted. How will people get saved during the tribulation when there are no Christians to witness?

      We do wish that you are right, but we don't think (by studying the Bible) that there is going to be a pre-wrath rapture.

      When the Bible refers to "the wrath of God" they mean Hell.

      Did you know that no people believed in the Rapture of Church before the 1800s?

      There isn't a verse that really backs up your point.
      The verses that pre-rapture people get our normally out of context.

      Why do you want the name of our Pastor?

    4. I did write my reply off the top of my head, so I'm afraid it wasn't very well planned out. I admit I jumped into this without thinking it all through, so this has taught me that I do need to get all my scripture down better on what I believe. Some of this you have a good point on.

      People will still get saved because they do still have the Bible. With all the technology there is plenty of preaching online. There's plenty of opportunity for those actually searching for the truth. And Moses and Elijah will come be witnesses and preach during the tribulation.

      What is the proof of that? (About "Did you know that no people believed in the Rapture of Church before the 1800s?") Take the Protestant Reformation for example. Martin Luther supposedly made this great discovery about salvation not being by works (if I remember that part right...) but the Baptists already knew that. I think that all along the truth has been known by somebody.


      I was curious of your pastor's name so that I could see what church you go to, and see more of what you believe on other things. (Or at least, what your church believes.) And as a preacher's daughter, I hear about a lot of other preachers, and was curious if I'd heard of him before.

      Well as you said it would take quite a long time to tell you everything. Well I believe that we as Christians will be taken up in the Rapture. And those that are not Christians will go through the tribulation. If I kept going it would probably go on quite a lot longer.

      I was also wondering what your ages are. If you can't tell me your exact ages can you tell me around what ages you are?

      Quite true - the internet could very well be something they'd no longer have. But there are a ton of Bibles - you can buy them at Walmart! And any old church building you walk into that isn't used anymore since the Christians will be gone, (=D) would still have tracts in the back, some churches have Bibles in the rows... What I'm saying is, people searching for the truth can find it. And in Revelation 7:2-9,13-17 and 11:3-6 it talks of mass evangelism.

      But of course it doesn't say "by the foolishness of preaching on a recording" because that would have made no sense back then!

      To be honest, I don't know what references I can give you about Moses and Elijah. But look at Revelation 11:13.I know some people believe it's Moses and Elijah, Elijah and Enoch (I think that has been taught by some?), and some just say it's two people - we don't know who yet. But we're going through the book of Revelation on Wednesday night at my church, so when we get to chapter 11 and it's explained, I could let you know. =D

      And I also don't know much about the Westminister Confession of Faith, except that it's for the Church of England or something - Presbyterian anyways, and not Baptist.

      Where in the Bible (give us verses) does it say there will be a pre-rapture? Give us verses are not out of context. Where in the Bible does it say there is a pre-rapture?

      Here is some of our proof-

      Matthew 24

      The disciples ask God when shall the end come?
      This is what God answers:


      14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

      15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

      16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

      17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

      18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

      19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

      20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

      21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

      22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

      (God says that for the elect's sake those days shall be saved! We will be in the word during the tribulation!)

      23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

      24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

      25 Behold, I have told you before.

      The West Minster Confession and the Baptist Confession are almost exactly alike! The only difference is their view in Baptism. If you read the Baptist Confession, there is nothing in there about the pre-rapture!

    10. I'm sorry this has taken me forever to get back to you on! We were out of town and then we've been busy and I have a pile of people to email/comment/write letters to!

      Some of that (in Mathew 24) is said to the Jews that are not saved that are left behind.

      1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:9-11 are verses talking about the rapture. "Wherefore comfort one another with these words," would not have been written if Christians were to go through the tribulation. (Also in those verses, notice "us" and "we" versus "they" and "them".)

      That passage, I'd say, is probably the best to show the pre-rapture.

      Also, Matthew 24:44. If it's in an hour that we think not, it can't be in the middle or after the tribulation, because then we'd see it coming.

      As for the Baptist Confession - it's something else I know hardly anything about. That's one reason we're Independent Baptist. =D And the "Baptist Confession" ought to be the King James Bible, not any man written document.

      Baptists did believe in the pre-rapture before the 1800s - Paul wrote of it in 1 Thessalonians!

      He says in Thessalonians 4: 16-17:



      "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"



      "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.




      God doesn't say: BUT I will leave the unsaved, and get them at another time.



      Christians DO have to go through tribulation, because we are God's people!

      What God means is that we don't know he is coming on April -- ---- at 9:00 p.m.



      We know that after the tribulation he will come. We don't know what day or hour.



      Everyone should read the Baptist Confession! The Baptist Confession is BASED on



      the King James Bible! These were Godly men of Christ that wrote the Confession.



      1 Thessalonians does not say anything about a pre-rapture! Where is the Scripture proof?

      We wouldn't say that you aren't saved because you belive in the pre-rapture.
      You still belive the same way to get to heaven, we just disagree on what is going to happen in the future.

    14. We are supposed to comfort each other by knowing that God has not abandoned us, and he is coming for us! We have to suffer through the tribulation so we can live in glory with God!

      "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7

      "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:7

      God will promise us peace. He will give us peace through our suffering.

      "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Psalm 37:25

      "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5

      God will never forsake us, he will see us through!

      How much more comfort do we need?

      We would love it if we didn't have to go through the tribulation, but we need to see what the Bible says, not what we want to believe.
      There is no Biblical proof for it.

    15. Our brother made a very good point today. He was talking with Mom, and he pointed out: (let us just say there is a pre-rapture) What about all the people that get saved during the tribulation? Why will God rapture out some Christians, but when sinners get saved {during the tribulation} he won't rapture them out? The pre-rapture belief is too inconsistent.

      The government could take away Internet. (We know it sounds impossible, but you never know these days!)

      God says:

      "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." I Corinthians 1:21 KJV


      "by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
      He didn't say "by the foolishness of preaching on a recording."!

      Where in the Bible does it say Moses and Elijah will come and preach?

      What about the Westminster Confession of Faith in the 1600s?
      The greatest, most godly men in the world came to write the Westminster Confession of Faith. Why didn't they mention the pre-tribulation rapture? Why didn't God show these men about the rapture?

  37. Hello girls from England. I have just stumbled upon your blog, and wanted to say a few things. I see you don't have a contact me button, so I will say these things here, feel free not to publish them. I say these things in love. It is lovely to see young girls passionate about the things of God. However, it does concern me that when I look at what your writing, you seem to be teaching on quite big subjects, head coverings, sabbath, eternal security, the rapture, etc etc. You are very young girls and with all due respect you shouldn't be teaching on these things. I haven't seen your testomonies anywhere on the blog so I can't say for sure how long you have been Christians for, but guessing from your ages you must be young in the Lord and you are also female. It would be nice to hear your testomonies. As you are so strong on other issues, I would imagaine that you would accept that is isn't right for a woman to teach. (other than to other women about how to love God, their husbands and children and how to keep their home.) It also concerns me that you are putting so much emphasis on outward things and ordinances that the Bible doesn't. The Bible does not say that wearing trousers is a sin, but it does say that women should dress modestly. The Bible does not say that contemporary music is a sin and that drums are of the devil. Where does it say that?! It is my personal preference to wear skirts, sing hymns and use the KJV but you cannot say that is sin to do do otherwise when the Bible does not say that. Another thing is that you are teaching that a womens place is in the home only. What about those that God has called to be single? I hope you take these things in love and consider what I have said.       This is our "about your bloggers" page!! We are saying what WE believe. When we go to a blog we like to look at the "about me" page, just to get to know the person before we follow.

      We are not teaching! We are explaining what we believe and why.
      If you don't like what we are saying then don't follow us.

      We never said that wearing pants is a sin. We are saying that it is more modest for a women to wear skirts/dresses. A women is not necessarily going to Hell if she wears pants.

      Contemporary music is not written in the Bible anywhere. A HISTORY fact says that drums are Satanic. God tells us to be in this world and not of it. God tells us to not act like the world.

      God doesn't always specifically say "don't do this" or "don't do that"

      We are not teaching that a women's place is in the home,
      God has taught us that! We are just conveying the message.
      A married women's place is at home. Abraham and Sarah had no children (yet) when this happened, yet when Abraham called for her, he knew exactly where she was. He didn't have to say "servant, go fetch Sarah from the workplace."
      Hannah and Ruth have a summer job. There is nothing wrong with a single women working. If God has called a women to be single, he will put her where he needs her whether that be at work or volunteering etc.

    1. The KJV is the best translation.

      There are so many stories of verse changings in other translations! Here in the Weymouth New Testament instead of "Virgin" they used the word "maiden". That changes the WHOLE Bible story so that it doesn't show the amazing MIRACLE that God did! "Mark! The maiden will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call His name Immanuel" Matthew 1:23

      You can google the different errors in the translations.
      There are too many errors to put down here. =D

    2. Ok, fair enough that you think it's the most accurate translation, but to say the Bible is only KJV is wrong, I believe. KJV is only a translation from the ORIGINAL Bible, so it's virtually impossible for it not to have flaws in the translation.

    3. The *most* accurate translation is the KJV. Why read a version of the Bible that is less accurate? If you read that post we put up on Sunday about the KJV, you will see that the people that were making a "better" translation of the Bible, didn't really care how accurate it was! Erasing important parts of the Bible verses by changing the words is wrong! Yes, there are probably flaws in KJV, but just because there might be, doesn't mean we should read a more flawed version!

  40. Hey! I have been following this blog for a while and like some of the girls said hadn't noticed this conversation on this page! I love reading all the comments on here! One thing I admire about you is that you said you do not condemn girls who wear shorter skirts or pants. We used to wear skirts all the time, sometimes we wore...I don't remember what they were called but they were like huge baggy shorts. We have recently been wearing some pants, my parents searched the scriptures and feel convicted from some standards. But that's besides the point :) What I have been shooting for is I have met a couple people who are just not friends with people who wear pants. I think that's wrong. I also don't think you are less of a Christian for wearing them. My Dad, who is a pastor and a missionary, has recently started studying the bible more, and have realized some mistakes in his beliefs. He realizes that he has based the family's beliefs on men's traditions, and not the bible. I am just upset at people who judge people for not dressing the way they do. It really matters if they are right with God. If they are saved, then wearing really short shorts (we don't believe in wearing anything above the knee) doesn't make them any less of a Christian.

    I hope you see where I'm coming from :) Love your blog! And I love to sew, I sew a lot of costumes, and I mend my skirts/jeans. I love sewing! As well as baking! I hope to be a good mommy when I am older :)

    I am still studying the topic of how the KJV is the best translation. I believe it's the best we have right now, but I have a few things I am studying at the moment about it. When I finish I will have to share it! But it might take a while :) I love studying the scriptures and finding encouraging verses!

    Thank you for sharing! We would say, that because you are a Christian, you would strive to follow God and his commandments (that he lays down in the Bible). We would say the Bible does say to be modest, and we would take the stand that pants are not modest, but that doesn't make you unsaved, unless you know that by wearing pants you are disobeying God.   43. Yeah that's the point I am trying to make. Sorry I guess I noticed one of the things I said I didn't say it right. Yes if you believe the bible says do not wear pants, and you keep wearing them, then you are in sin. So yes you should definitely strive to do his will and do what he says.

    I have got to say I can't WAIT for Christmas! It is huge in our family :) We love it! On Christmas day we make a cake and sing Happy birthday To Jesus, that's one of my favorites times! We don't do Halloween, so we are planning to decorate in a week or so! Yeah Christmas is very big in our family like I said :D

The day after Halloween we buy all the candy since it's so cheep and save it up for our annual ginger bread house decorating day on Christmas eve! We order things from Amazon too! Most of the girl's gifts I am making, but I still need to figure our what to get for the boys! :) That's always hard :D lol.

  47. Totally understand your view on contemporary music. Although I do listen to a lot of country music, I like for there to be a distinct line- this is the music we play when we're worshiping God, this is what we listen to when we're working or relaxing. I don't really listen to the country stuff about drinking, cheating, etc., I prefer like the folk country or songs about just enjoying living. I don't think much of these praise and worship guys that just talk to a drumbeat, that takes no talent. Bluegrass banjo and guitar, instrumental, now most of that's clean and very enjoyable. So y'all don't have any instruments whatsoever?

    1. We LOVE bluegrass music! (We don't care for the singing, but the musical part is AWESOME!!).

      No, Ruth plays piano, and her and our brother both have a guitar they play around with. Hannah and Sarah share a violin, and we would LOVE to learn the banjo! :) We would see nothing wrong with musical instruments. There is nothing in the Bible that says musical instruments are bad. :)
