Random pictures.....

We three girls went vintage shopping for the Prairie Dance, and Sarah tried this dress on. :)
Very poor quality picture, but this dress is actually a very pretty shade of pink.... :)
Unfortunately it wasn't her favorite dress so we didn't get it.

Our baby kittens are getting SO big!
This is Ivan :)

LOL. :) A deal we snagged so Jonathan could have a costume to play in around the house. ;)
He is putting on his "just got arrested not happy about it" face. ;)

Creepy...... lol
Ruth was reading a book on the table and looked up to this....

She had so much fun crocheting this!

1800s Prairie Dance!!! :)

Hi y'all! :)

The 1800s Prairie Dance is coming up in almost 2 (!!!) months!!! :) :)

We can not say enough how much fun this is!
We went in March and had a BLAST!!
Our family is very strict on dancing, but this is a VERY clean and historical dance!

The deadline to purchase tickets is August 15th BUT if you buy your tickets before August 1st you will be entered into a drawing of 1 of 5 tickets that will be given away!! :)

The money is SO worth the fun night you will have.
We would love to see you there!! :)

The Fall Ball will be held on
October 4th, 2014.
It will be held at the same location, but we're going to change it up a little. This is going to be more of an 1800's Prairie dance and Ice-Cream Social. The same modesty requirements are in place. However, it is more casual, so no need to wear hoops ladies! We do ask that all women be in floor length skirts or dresses, whether that's just a denim skirt or tiered cotton skirt, that's up to you. If you have prairie looking dresses-feel free to wear them. Men-need some ideas on how you can dress prairie-like? Throw on an old cowboy hat and some suspenders. But again, these are only a few ideas.

When God created us he couldn't have picked a better best friend then her! :)

We're kinda dramatic and we feed off each other..... :/
We can look normal if we try..... :)

Happy birthday Janna!!

Is drinking alcohol OK for us Christians?

”Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise”.
Proverbs 20:1

"Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? 30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. 31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. 32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. 33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. 34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. 35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again."
Proverbs 23:29-35

"I know, I know, you guys that drink alcohol never drink too much do you? Sure you don't. I was around people who drank this stuff a lot before I was saved and I know from experience that someone who drinks almost always does it to get a buzz from it.  Do your eyes behold strange women when you drink? Do you utter perverse things, like curse words, or dirty jokes when you drink? I am convinced that most of the fornication going on out there is at least partially attributable to alcohol consumption. Even the most worldly people consider it a sin product. Keep justifying it in your mind, but remember this verse:
Proverbs 14:12 'There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ' "
"As I have demonstrated, nowhere in scripture do we find Jesus drinking alcoholic wine. Alcohol is destructive and addictive. It is a depressant drug that actually attacks the brain cells and destroys them. Twenty percent of all patients admitted into mental hospitals have a problem with alcohol. Alcohol has caused numerous health and social problems. In addition to this a majority of traffic fatalities and accidents can be directly attributive to alcohol. Drunkenness destroys lives and relationships. It is not just a disease. It is a sin."

We recently ran across this article and would encourage you to read it!

This is also a very good article to consider!!

It is truly distressing how many Christians think alcohol is OK!

What do y'all think?

In Christ,
