What we believe on head covering in church.

Hello followers.

We recently came across this great movie.

Please watch this, and let us know what you think.

Read this amazing description on head covering in church.

"The wearing of fabric head coverings in worship was universally the practice of Christian women until the twentieth century. What happened? Did we suddenly find some biblical truth to which the saints for thousands of years were blind? Or were our biblical views of women gradually eroded by the modern feminist movement that has infiltrated the Church?” ~ R.C. Sproul

"But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man."

I Corinthians 11:5-7 KJV

We are not saying that if you don't wear head covering in church you aren't a Christian, but that this is a sign of submission to your father and eventually your husband, and through them, God.
God bless!

    1. Zipporah, I do believe times have changed. When I was a little girl, public schools celebrated Christmas. I don't recall many non-Christian religions being mentioned like they are today. People didn't worry about being politically correct.

My family didn't celebrate Christmas - my mom is a Jehovah's Witness. However, I just recall, growing up, how Christianity was mentioned more. When I was in the fifth grade, The Gideons visited our classroom. They gifted all of the students with a copy of the New Testament. My mom didn't sign the form for me to get a new Bible from the Gideons, but, my point is, having the Gideons to come and visit a public school is not something you would see today.

Also, have you been in a hotel room lately? I've noticed that not only do they place the Bible into hotel rooms, but, they also place The Book of Mormon in the hotel room. Decades ago, you would not have seen The Book of Mormon in a hotel room.

  2. I blogged about this recently. Some people commented that women used to wear hats in church. Although I do see women wearing hats, it's not necessarily the norm.
